The kickoff of our Family Game Night saw students and families who came out to have fun with our staff. We had two guest speakers talk to our students and families.
The first speaker, John Erby from My Brother's Closet - Columbus Urban League, let our young men know that they could receive a suit for free! This will provide them the opportunity to attend job interviews looking professional and ready to work.
Our second speaker, Ron Cunningham, is a Business Development Manager for BMI Federal Credit Union, and Author of “Unwrapped Gifts," and Cartoonist of “The NuLeague for Freedom.”
He spoke to students and families about Financial Literacy and his book, “Unwrapped Gifts,” which touches on getting out of the way of the gifts that are inside of us and letting them blossom.
Our students and families had fun playing games with our staff, especially UNO, which became very competitive! A couple of our students and staff did a TikTok dance challenge. We also played BINGO and the two winners were Ms. Jackie and Coach G.
All of our staff, students, families and guests had a great time. We're looking forward to next month's event!
