Pre-Apprentice Cohort
In their last week of the program, our young adults:
took their math assessment quiz, and everyone passed;
visited Rocky Boots in Nelsonville, Ohio and were gifted a pair of Steel Toe boots from Lead The Way Learning Academy founder Jackie Kemp;
reflected on the past few weeks, recognizing the great learning opportunities they've had this summer;
would encourage other young men and women to take advantage of this type of program;
explained that the guest speakers and field trips opened up their eyes to the opportunities of the world; and
wished a special thank you to Lead The Way Learning Academy, Ms. Jackie Kemp and all the staff who have helped them during this learning experience!
CDL Cohort
In their last week of the program, our young adults:
continued studying for their general knowledge and air break test to earn their Class B CDL permit
Saleem Davis, Jakai Watts, Abeneza Kpadeh and Corey Evans started their hands on work experience with Unique Services Logistics; and
visited Rocky Boots in Nelsonville, Ohio and were gifted a pair of Steel Toe boots from Lead The Way Learning Academy founder Jackie Kemp.

Essence Pitts
Essence was selected as our leader of the week for her continued growth throughout our program. Essence found out about the R2E program from her mother who heard about it through their church. Once Essence earns her CDL license, she plans to drive trucks full time with her cousin.

Jason Robertson
Jason was selected as our leader of the week due to his continued hard work and focus. Jason found our about the R2E program through a friend. Jason currently has his cosmetology license and plans to start his own mobile beauty salon once he earns his Class B CDL License.
