On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the West High School Boys’ Volleyball Team delivered an impressive win against Eastmoor Academy in a thrilling match held at West High. The energy was high, the stands were full, and the team brought their A-game from start to finish.
Edwin Perez Garcia Leads with Excellence
Leading the charge was team captain Edwin Perez Garcia, whose leadership both on and off the court continues to make a lasting impact. As a proud participant in the Lead The Way program, Edwin brought not only athletic skill but also maturity, composure, and inspiration to his team—qualities that helped rally the group during high-pressure moments.
Teamwork in Action: Other LTW Students Step Up
Edwin’s presence set the tone for the game, but he wasn’t alone in making waves. Fellow Lead The Way students Diego Cruz Cruz, Tremble Bartley, and Jonathan Vicente Rodriguez also stepped up in powerful ways. Each of these young men showcased incredible teamwork, hustle, and heart throughout the match, embodying the spirit of dedication and resilience that Lead The Way instills in its participants.

The unity and focus displayed by these student-athletes played a major role in the team’s success, as West High School improved its record to 3–1 with this well-earned victory.
