Cornerstone Seniors Kick Off Their Final Month with Celebration and Purpose
The senior class at Cornerstone Academy kicked off a month dedicated to honoring their high school achievements and the exciting paths that lie ahead after graduation. The celebration began with a field trip to Otherworld, an immersive and interactive art experience that offered students a chance to explore creativity, chaos, and imagination before returning to reflect on their real-world journeys.
Charting the Future, One Name at a Time
Upon their return to school, the seniors participated in a moving tradition, placing their names beneath the colleges, universities, and programs where they will continue their education or training. Led by Student Council President Marvelous Odukomaiya, each student proudly stepped forward to make their postsecondary plans visible on the Cornerstone Decision Wall, a powerful visual symbol of achievement, ambition, and next steps.
Where They’re Headed: College & Career Choices
This year’s graduating class displayed a broad range of aspirations. Many students chose to remain close to home, with Columbus State Community College and The Ohio State University – Newark Campus emerging as top choices. Several others selected local four-year institutions, including Otterbein University, Capital University, and Central Ohio Technical College.
A number of students will represent Cornerstone further across the state of Ohio, enrolling at institutions such as:
Wright State University
Bowling Green State University
University of Akron
In addition to academic paths, a group of students will pursue apprenticeships in skilled trades, including paid training programs that will prepare them to become journeyman electricians—highlighting the value and impact of career-technical education.
In total, Cornerstone seniors applied to more than 60 institutions and received a combined 135 acceptance letters—an impressive feat that reflects their persistence, talent, and vision for the future.
Pride, Progress, and Gratitude
We could not be more proud of the Class of 2025. These students have dedicated themselves to their academic work, extracurricular commitments, and the college and career planning process with determination and grace. Their accomplishments are a testament to their resilience, hard work, and character.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Reinart, Mrs. Seibold, and Mrs. Nichols for their tireless efforts in coordinating the senior month events, including the meaningful Decision Wall experience. Their leadership has provided not only a celebration for seniors but also a source of inspiration for the underclassmen at Cornerstone.
As our seniors prepare to walk across the graduation stage, we know they will continue to rise, lead, and shape the future with integrity, purpose, and excellence.
Congratulations Cornerstone Seniors, continue to Lead the Way!
