We are thrilled about the opportunities we are providing for the youth on the West Side, thanks to Coach Fred's efforts in building momentum and guiding them toward exciting career pathways. These youth have just wrapped up week three of the "Intro To Racing: Karting 101" program, an engaging 8-week STEM course instructed by a professional race car driver. Throughout this hands-on course, students gain invaluable experience in disassembling and reassembling go-karts, leading up to a dynamic and exciting moment when they compete on the race track! Students are learning the basics of go-karts, engines, wheels, steering, brakes and competition. Throughout the program, students are absorbing fundamental knowledge about go-karts, from understanding engines, wheels, steering, and brakes, to diving into the intricacies of competition.
