Tonight marked the inception of what we hope will become a cherished tradition: our first annual Family Night. It was an evening filled with laughter, bonding, and a shared sense of purpose as we came together to strengthen our community.
Our primary goal for the evening was clear: to extend our warm embrace to more families and youth, inviting them to join our K-8 program. We aimed to provide parents with assistance in navigating the necessary documentation, while creating a space for families to connect and enjoy each other’s company. And, of course, to savor a delicious meal generously provided by City BBQ.
As the night unfolded, it became evident that we had achieved far more than our initial objectives. The testimonies from parents echoed the sentiments of gratitude and appreciation that filled the room. One parent expressed relief and joy at being able to share a meal with their family without the burden of cooking, while witnessing their children forging friendships with their peers and our dedicated staff.
Another parent’s heartfelt words spoke volumes about the impact our program has had on their family’s life. They conveyed a deep sense of gratitude for the love and support showered upon them, emphasizing how much their children cherished their time with us and eagerly anticipated each day spent in our care.
