Four students from New Albany High School had the exciting opportunity to visit the Abercrombie & Fitch's (A&F) home office campus, alongside students from other schools, to learn about supply chain management. The visit commenced with an enlightening presentation by A&F's executive vice president of supply chain, who shared personal insights into his career journey, starting from a similar age as the high school audience he addressed.
Following the presentation, the students embarked on a comprehensive tour of the facility, providing them with a close-up view of how products are packaged, tagged, and processed before shipment. Additionally, members of the executive team delved into the intricacies of inbound and outbound transportation processes.
During their visit, the students had the privilege of interacting with A&F's leadership development team, discovering opportunities to become involved as early as their freshman year of college. Each student found value in the trip, relating the knowledge gained to essential aspects of their career aspirations. They emphasized the importance of exposure to various organizations and roles, echoing the principles emphasized by LTWLA.
As a gesture of appreciation, each student and chaperone received a gift bag from A&F, marking the conclusion of a valuable and enriching experience.
