New Albany High School junior Miriam Camara is taking remarkable strides toward her future. Demonstrating focus and determination, Miriam recently obtained her library card through Columbus Metropolitan Libraries to "utilize all resources available" as she prepares for the next step in her journey. She rented “ASVAB for Dummies” from her local branch, signaling her readiness to tackle the next challenge ahead.

A Lifelong Dream in Motion

Miriam has dreamed of joining the military since she was a young girl, inspired by a desire to serve and by her grandfather’s own proud military service. For Miriam, enlisting is not just about achieving a personal goal — it is about honoring a family legacy and connecting across generations through service.

Preparing for Success

Miriam is currently studying diligently in preparation for her upcoming ASVAB retake. Achieving a high score is crucial, as it will expand her career options within the military and bring her closer to her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse in the Army. With her proactive attitude and commitment to excellence, Miriam plans to take the ASVAB next month.

A Path Toward Early Graduation

Adding to her impressive list of accomplishments, Miriam is also on track to graduate early from New Albany High School. Her drive, vision, and work ethic are clear indicators that she is well on her way to building the career — and the future — she has always envisioned.
